I thought this was a huge fish at 28 inches long but not long enough if you wanted to eat it. I put it back in and it swam right away to be caught by someone else.
Pebble Beach in Rockport is just a wonderful place for my wife and I. All we want is sunshine and a place to put our chairs down to sit, talk and read. We get all of this and no sand, no teenagers or young children and the best view to boot. If you saw my first post, this is the beach that had all those spiders crawling around to avoid storm waves. Normally you would only see a few but they leave you alone.
Pebble Beach has some parking spots for visitors and, of course, Rockport residents.
The rounded rocks in the picture have been rolling up and down the beach since the last ice age and they are a poor substitute for flat sand but this is a beach with benefits as I mentioned in the beginning. It is quiet for starters. The surf makes sounds, the gulls squawk, and the rocks rock and roll up and down with each wave. This rolling rock sound is quite pleasant to listen to. It is like a drum roll at the end of the surf's solo. The beach is located off South Street- take the last left hand turn - and it is one of 6 beaches found in Rockport.
